Job Summary for Teacher/Tutor
One of the key differentiators of Huntington Learning Center is our teachers. Unlike some tutoring organizations, Huntington requires our tutors to be certified teachers. As the “face” of the center you will have direct contact with students, families, and other staff. As a result, the ideal candidate can easily form strong relationships and flex when needed. This role can either be part-time or full-time and reports to the Owner/Center Director.

Teacher/Tutor requirements and qualifications:
Must have a 4-year degree to qualify (teaching certification/license is preferred)
All experience levels are welcome – recent grads, current teachers, retired professionals
Enthusiastic, outgoing, and team-oriented personality
Must demonstrate care and compassion towards children
Motivation to take the initiative to ensure that a student’s time at Huntington is memorable
A confident and flexible demeanor
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
Afternoon and Evening availability is a must
Pay range is $19-$20 DOE.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 12 per week
