About TheRoleCBRE isseeking a strategic and hands-on Facility Director to lead the mobilization andtransition of a new, flagship manufacturing facility in Richmond, Virginiathrough to stable operation and beyond. This role supports a high-growth clientundergoing significant transformation.As Facility Director, you will oversee end-to-end service delivery across acampus comprised of 16 buildings, including facilities management (hard andsoft-services), technical operations, and account governance. A key focus willbe leading the transition from construction to steady-state operations,building a scalable FM model, and ensuring seamless integration between projectdelivery and ongoing site support.As this isa new facility, the role will involve recruiting and building the teamstructure of 40–50 technical staff, with substantial growth expected across thesite in the coming years.You willpartner closely with senior stakeholders to strengthen engagement, enhanceservice quality, and deliver a phased plan for scaling leadership andoperations.This rolerequires a strong background in manufacturing environments, experience leadingcomplex, multi-site campuses, and the ability to operate effectively in afast-paced, evolving (“greenfield”) setting.This is aunique opportunity to shape a growing, high-profile account by buildingscalable operations and demonstrating CBRE’s ability to support long-termclient growth.What You’llDoIdentify, recruit, manage and mentor a newteam befitting the structure of the facility.Provide formal supervision to employees.Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluationsand coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.Coordinate and manage the team's dailyactivities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Setand track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.Negotiate with external partners, vendors, andcustomers of divergent interests to reach a common goal.Implement business strategies aligned to thewider account’s goals to achieve profitable relationships and identify newrevenue opportunities.Build and maintain effective long-term clientrelationships and a high level of satisfaction. Formulate, negotiate, andexecute contracts utilizing internal expert resources.Prepare and submit short and long-range plansand strategies to clients using available marketing programs to reach nominatedtargets.Conduct regular status and strategy meetingswith the client's management to understand needs.Apply a robust knowledge of multipledisciplines, the business, and key drivers which impact departmental andcross-functional performance.Lead by example and model behaviors that areconsistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and other colleagues totake action while being guided by the organization's functional business plans.Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex,operational, and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resourceswithin or outside the department.Significantly improves and changes existingmethods, processes, and standards within job discipline.What You’llNeedBachelor'sDegree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, acombination of experience and education will be considered.Experience in the areas of staffing,selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising,and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive,complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, andhandle problems.Leadership skills to set, manage and achievetargets with a direct impact on multiple departments results within a function.In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Officeproducts. The minimum salary for the Facilities Director position is $180,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Facilities Director position is $190,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
