Part Time Assistant Store Manager: Queens Center Mall

Description:We are seeking a highly organized and results-oriented Part Time Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Queens Center Mall. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership abilities and a passion for customer service . The Assistant Store Manager will assist in all aspects of store operations, including sales management, inventory management , and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and possess excellent communication skills, capable of supervision and training and development of staff. Responsibilities:Assist the Store Manager in achieving ** sales** targets and driving sales effectivenessProvide ** customer service** and resolve customer issues, demonstrating excellent problem solving skills. Oversee ** cash handling** procedures and ensure accurate cashieringAssist with ** merchandising** and visual presentation to maximize promotional effectivenessParticipate in scheduling and manage staff breaks and coverage. Assist in retail operations, including opening and closing procedures. Provide ** coaching** and training and development to sales associates. Maintain store cleanliness and organization. Demonstrate product knowledge to assist customers and drive sales. Assist with inventory management and loss prevention. Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent. Proven ability to manage and motivate a team, demonstrating leadership qualities. Working knowledge of retail sales principles and practices. Experience in ** cash handling** and cashiering procedures. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Experience with supervision of retail staff. Demonstrated ability to apply selling techniques effectively. Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in a similar retail management role. Experience with inventory management systems. Familiarity with ** planning** and scheduling software. Experience with promotional effectiveness strategies. 1-2 years of experience in a retail environment.
