Sales Engineer I

Job DescriptionThe Sales Engineer I is responsible for using technical knowledge of Inductive Automation’s product offerings to support the Sales team by providing excellent service to the company’s customers, guiding implementation based on customer requirements and executing strategies to grow sales. They analyze customers’ technical specifications, recommend the best product configuration and installation processes as well as estimate implementation effort, time and resources. The Sales Engineer I must develop and deliver technical demonstrations and education, architectures and best practices to Inductive Automation’s end-users and Integrators to grow customer loyalty.About the RoleThe Sales Engineer I's job skills, qualifications, and responsibilities, include but are not limited to:ResponsibilitiesProviding end-users, integrators, and other customers technical demonstrations and web demos; including demonstrations of Ignition, answering technical questions and architecture discussionsHosting Lunch and Learns for Integrators, educating them on specific features of IgnitionAssisting customers with questionnaires and RFPsProviding solution support to end-users, integrators, and other customers to ensure they have the knowledge needed to successfully thrive using Ignition softwareAttending various conferences and tradeshows with Public Relations Division; travel may be requiredAssisting with Ignition Benchmark TestingBuilding Ignition Exchange resourcesRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering and at least 2 years of programming and/or database experience OR 4 years of programming and/or database experienceCertifications such as: programming bootcamps, cloud infrastructure or networking and 2 years of experience in these areasExperience with Ignition and familiarity with Ignition modules and architecturesAbility to provide a basic technical demonstrationsPayBased on the Sacramento region, the new hires minimum and maximum target salary for this role is $105k - $115k. This role will be paid hourly.Inductive Automation’s ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility.
