Part-Time Data Operations Analyst

Remote (U.S. time zones preferred)Type: Part-time (approx. 10-15 hours/week. This has the potential to increase in the future.)About the role:We’re looking for a hands-on operator to run a daily workflow that turns state oil & gas well-permit data into actionable satellite-image insights for our customers. You’ll help manage processes that ingest state data, fetch imagery for those locations, perform QC to categorize pad activity, correct bounding-box issues, publish updates to customers, and troubleshoot any issues that may come up along the way.What you’ll do: Run and monitor the daily pipeline that ingests state O&G well-permit data Fetch satellite imagery for permitted locations Perform visual QC and categorize activity on well pads (e.g., drilling, fracking, inactive) Fix/adjust bounding boxes that are misaligned or overlapping Troubleshoot errors and escalate issues where necessary Communicate status and blockers across teams; hand-off cleanly across daysMinimum/desired qualifications:1–3 years in data operations or similar production workflowsExperience command-line interfaces (you'll run already created Python scripts, not do anything actually programming-related)Familiarity with satellite imagery conceptsExperience doing QC with careful attention to detailExperience reading logs to diagnose and troubleshoot failuresStrong written communication and organized handoffs; reliable daily availabilityAble to follow documentation; proactive about edge cases and ambiguityWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
