Hotel Front Desk Night Auditor

Our property is seeking a night auditor to join our growing group of hospitality professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to financial details, a genuine love of interacting with people, and a superior commitment to customer satisfaction. Previous hotel experience is not required, but guest service experience is highly preferred. If you are looking to start a career in the hospitality industry and want a position that can grow with your skills and natural talents, apply now.Responsibilities:Perform additional bookkeeping, administrative, and accounting procedures as requiredReconcile all credit card transactions, financial records, occupancy percentages, room charges, final bill preparation, and cash drawer activity after a thorough audit processDelegate housekeeping, security, and service requests, respond to guest inquiries and resolve guest complaints, process reservations and check-ins, and other front desk agent duties as requiredMake sure every hotel guest has a pleasant stayCompile and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports to general manager, department heads, and hotel managementPerform overnight front desk duties, including guest check-in and check-outAudit, verify, and reconcile daily financial transactions and guest foliosEnsure accurate posting of room charges, taxes, payments, and adjustmentsBalance daily revenue reports and prepare end-of-day documentationHandle guest requests, concerns, and emergencies during overnight hoursMaintain security of the property by monitoring the lobby and building during overnight shiftsCoordinate with housekeeping and maintenance for early morning guest needs or issuesEnsure all systems are properly closed and rolled into the next business dayFollow all IHG brand standards and front desk procedures consistentlyMaintain accurate records in the property management systemCommunicate effectively with management regarding overnight activity or issuesPerform accurate billing checks and resolve discrepancies prior to running the night auditMaintain the cleanliness of all public areas during overnight hoursAssist with laundry duties as needed, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linensFollow all hotel policies, procedures, and IHG brand standardsQualifications:Computer proficiency is required; experience with accounting or reservation software is preferredFlexible overnight hours are requiredSome college is preferred but a high school diploma or equivalent is requiredExcellent customer service and communication skills are requiredFront desk clerk duties, guest services, night auditor or previous hospitality experience is preferred but not requiredPrevious front desk, accounting, or hotel experience preferred but not requiredStrong attention to detail and accuracy, especially with numbers and billingBasic computer and property management system skills preferredAbility to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervisionStrong problem-solving and customer service skillsMust be reliable, punctual, and able to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidaysAbility to remain alert and professional during nighttime hoursWhy Join Us?Stable part-time overnight scheduleSupportive and professional hotel teamOpportunity to gain experience in hotel operations and accountingEmployee discounts and benefits are availableAbout Company:The Candlewood Suites St. Charles has recently been acquired by ARK Hospitality to manage this property.
