Associate Process Engineer

About The CompanyAs an industry leader serving the food and dairy industries, we are seeking an Associate Process Engineer to support our growing and dynamic business. In this position, you will work closely with the customer to provide solutions to accomplish their project goals. The associate process engineer assists with drafting, process design, estimating, quoting, installation and commissioning of processes and equipment to be installed at customer facilities.ResponsibilitiesPartner with project engineers in establishing relationships with customer to better understand their engineering needs and lead the project to completionAssist with developing and managing the project scheduleCollaborate with project manager to develop the project scope and deliverablesEstimate project costs and develop the proposal for the customerDesign processes for the customer’s needs, ideally increasing production rate, volumes, efficiency, etc per project planWork with vendors and suppliers to specify components requiredCollaborate with the mechanical design team for fabricating new equipmentAssist with managing the installation of new processes from scheduling resources to ensuring the installation is proceeding as plannedAssist with start-up and commissioning of new processes and equipmentQualificationsREQUIREDAssociate’s degree in drafting or equivalent years of related experienceMinimum of one year experience with AutoCAD or 3D • Strong communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office productsExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving skillsStrong demonstrated mechanical aptitudeStrong critical thinking and attention to detailRight to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employerTravel up to 30%PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, mechanical or chemical engineering or equivalent experienceExperience in metal fabrication/plumbing/pipefittingKnowledge of heat and mass transfer relative to basic liquid processingCompany BenefitsMedical, dental, vision, and HSAEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)401(k) plan with company matchPaid time off, including bereavement pay, and eight paid holidaysCompany-paid life insuranceAccidental death and dismemberment insuranceVoluntary life insuranceShort-term disabilityEmployee Assistance ProgramProfessional development
