HBITS: HBITS-07-14723 ITS, Expert, Systems Developer 30 month contract Interview: Virtual Interview Work model: 50% telecommuting, 50% Office per week --- Project Description --- This individual will provide expert database development support to the CONNECTIONS project during development and maintenance activities to maintain New York State's Automated Child Welfare Information System for OCFS, LDSS, and Voluntary Agencies. --- Day-to-Day Tasks --- 1. Participating in design sessions to help with database design 2. Serving as the internal Team DBA for CONNECTIONS application 3. Serving as lead database developer for CONNECTIONS, developing complex database packages and procedures to feed data to WCF Service Layer via ODP.NET 4. Serving as lead database developer for CONNECTIONS ancillary applications like AIMS, CCWIS DX, Dynamics CRM, FHARM, OCS, RFI 5. Serving as lead database developer to develop and maintain highly complex database packages for data exchange with applicable intra-agency and inter-agency legacy applications 6. Investigating and troubleshooting Production data issues and code appropriate data fixes 7. Creating and tracking ITSM requests coordinating with the central DBA Team for roll-out of Build-related database changes 8. Supporting parallel development and testing of multiple Application Builds by maintaining the integrity of corresponding development databases 9. Supporting CONNECTIONS Training databases liaising with CONNECTIONS Training Coordinator 10. Supporting CONNECTIONS Batch development and support team with database coding 11. Supporting CONNECTIONS nightly Audit process 12. Catering to CONNECTIONS Audit data requests from OCFS 13. Assisting Data Warehouse Team sharing relevant CONNECTIONS database changes having Data Warehouse impact 14. Mentoring developers in the effective use of performance-optimized SQLs 15. Performing reviews of other developers' database code to ensure CONNECTIONS database coding standards are adhered to 16. Assisting Testing Team with creating test data 17. Developing appropriate system documentation Systems Developer Develops and implements applications and programs for the backend processing systems used in businesses and organizations. Expert 84+ Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. • 84 months of experience writing packages, SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers in minimum version of Oracle 11g or higher. • 84 months of experience performing Oracle database administration activities in a production database environment containing on-line and batch environments - including performance tuning, maintaining the architecture, processes, and database objects of an Oracle database Server in minimum version of Oracle 11g or higher. • 84 months of experience developing and maintaining applications in Oracle's Application Express (APEX). • 84 months experience with Oracle Database Express Edition (XE) in-house database administration tasks like creating schema, manage privileges, etc. • 84 months experience working with project staff (both program and technical staff) providing database support in the development of n-tiered client-server/web applications based on defined technical designs. • 84 months experience in performing knowledge transfers to coworkers of Oracle database developer techniques supporting the development of database structure for new application designs and/or enhancements to existing application designs. • 84 months experience creating and maintaining PERL scripts. • 24 months of experience writing Unix/Linux Shell Scripts. • 24 months of experience using Microsoft SQL Server.
