Hospitalist â€" Internal Medicine / Family MedicineLocation: Rutland, VTPosition Summary:†Seeking a full-time Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Hospitalist to join a team of fifteen.†Hospital Medicine program provides inpatient care in collaboration with outpatient partners.†Work collaboratively with consulting services, physician-run closed ICU, diagnostic imaging, pharmacy, lab, and other support services.†Strong partnership with nursing colleagues, recognized with multiple Magnet designations.Team & Schedule:†Daily rounding team includes four physicians, two daytime admitting providers (1 physician and 1 APP), and one Nocturnist.†Daytime Hospitalists work a blend of rounding and admitting: 14 shifts per 28-day cycle with 2 weeks†vacation.†10-hour shifts: 7amâ€"5pm for rounding, 11amâ€"9pm for admitting.†No ICU or bedside procedure responsibility.†Average daily census: 12â€"14 patients per rounding team.†Average daily admissions: 13, spread among three admitting providers.Community & Location:†Located in the western valley of the Green Mountain range near Killington Ski Resort.†Access to skiing, winter sports, mountain biking, hiking, paddling, and other outdoor activities year-round.†Within driving distance to New York, Boston, and Montreal.†Transportation options include airport access and Amtrak train service.†Highly-rated schools with low student/teacher ratios, ideal for families.Compensation & Benefits:†Market-adjusted competitive salary.†Signing bonus and relocation stipend.†Educational loan repayment.†Comprehensive benefits package.Why Join:†Supportive, collaborative team environment.†Safe and beautiful location offering excellent work-life balance.†Opportunity to provide world-class care as part of a well-run, valued medical team.
