Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Swing Shift Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate support and supervision for individuals with diverse behavioral and developmental needs during evening hours. Duties Supervise and assist individuals with behavioral health needs during evening shifts, ensuring safety and adherence to care plans Implement behavior management techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), to support skill development and reduce challenging behaviors Monitor vital signs and administer medications accurately following medical documentation protocols while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations Conduct crisis intervention as needed, employing de-escalation techniques to manage behavioral emergencies effectively Collect data on behaviors, progress, and incidents for ongoing assessment and treatment planning Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) and medical documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times Support individuals with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and social interactions in accordance with individualized care plans Qualifications Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities, especially those with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder or PTSD Knowledge of crisis management, crisis intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and medical records management Prior experience using electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) and understanding of HIPAA compliance standards Strong skills in data collection, documentation accuracy, and report writing for clinical purposes Background in special education, social work, addiction counseling or related fields is highly desirable Ability to remain calm under pressure while providing compassionate patient care during challenging situations Join us in creating a supportive environment where individuals can thrive!
