Title: Senior Member Service Representative
Employment: Full Time
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30-5:15, various evening/weekend hours
Location: Mt. Iron or Cook, MN
Reports to: MSR Supervisor or Regional Branch Manager
Purpose:
MSR will assist members, guests and staff with friendly, knowledgeable service in a professional manner with all products and services offered.
General Responsibilities:
1. Build relationships with staff, members and community partners. Adhere to the member service standards set by the credit union.
2. Assist MSR/Tellers, delegate job duties with accountability, and help resolve any questions or problems for both staff and members.
3. Assist tellers as required with member questions or any transactional question that needs clarification.
4. Handle large amounts of currency, coin and other products offered by company, and maintain an accurate drawer within designated limits.
5. Process member transactions.
6. Open and service various products including new accounts, checking and savings, IRA’s and certificates.
7. Greet members and visitors as they enter the building.
8. Effectively and professionally communicate all products and services to members and actively cross-sell additional products.
9. Attend staff meetings, training and other designated events.
10. Be responsible for opening, closing and emergency procedures.
11. Assist members over the phone and online.
12. Assist members with opening, accessing, renewing and closing safe deposit boxes.
13. Use appropriate problem solving when dealing with suggestions or concerns.
14. Meet individual goals and help with organization goals.
15. Work with and keep all information confidential.
16. Comply with all federal regulations and credit union policies.
17. Keep facilities, work area and equipment clean and well maintained. Ensure branch is stocked and supplies are being ordered. Keep Regional Branch Manager or Executive Assistant aware of any branch maintenance needs.
18. Responsible for balancing the vault daily. Responsible for serving as the vault teller to include calculating how much cash to order, verifying cash received, and maintaining the TCRs as applicable.
19. Balancing, troubleshooting, and maintaining the coin machine, TCRs, and ATMs as applicable.
20. Wires.
21. Responsible for taking in chargeback requests and submitting fraud claims to accounting.
22. Responsible for monitoring Returned Mail, Death Notices, Member verifications and Overdrawn Shares.
23. Be able to balance and submit the cash letter at the end of day.
24. Community Involvement.
25. Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
· High school diploma.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Exceptional customer service.
· Strong understanding of credit union products and services.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office including, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
· Ability to lift 20+ pounds.
· Be able to stand and sit for long periods of time.
