The Chief Technology & AI Leader will build and execute the strategy that carries Nuage into its next 20 years.POSITION SUMMARYThe Chief Technology & AI Leader is a newly created executive role reporting directly to the Chief Strategy and Operations Officer. This is not a role for a theorist or a delegator. We are looking for a hands-on executor — a leader who is as comfortable on the warehouse floor and in stakeholder working sessions as they are in executive leadership meetings. You will develop the technology strategy and roadmap across three critical domains — supply chain and logistics, customer acquisition and management, and commerce — and then drive its execution personally, alongside the teams and partners you build around it.You will inherit a lean, talented organization and grow it deliberately — adding talent and initiative support as the strategy and roadmap demand. selection, and implementation of Warehouse Management System (WMS) solutions designed for Nuage's high-SKU, high-care luxury rental inventory environmentOwn the RFID and asset tracking technology strategy — driving inventory accuracy and operational efficiency across warehouse and delivery operations in Miami, Chicago, and future marketsApply deep knowledge of the logistics technology vendor landscape to identify, evaluate, and partner with the right providers for fulfillment, white-glove delivery, and nationwide shippingBuild scalable, reliable supply chain infrastructure that supports multi-market growth without compromising Nuage's signature precision and service standardsBe present on the warehouse floor — understanding operations firsthand and ensuring technology solutions solve real problems for the people using them every day2 | Customer Acquisition & Management (CRM)Define and execute the CRM technology strategy — selecting, implementing, and optimizing the platforms that power client acquisition, onboarding, lifecycle management, and retentionBuild the data and technology foundation for Nuage's Trade Account program — enabling deeper, more personalized relationships with event planners, designers, and hospitality professionalsPartner with Sales and Marketing leadership to align CRM capabilities with commercial goals: lead generation, conversion, account growth, and long-term client loyaltyIdentify and integrate marketing technology tools — email, automation, analytics, and personalization — that extend Nuage's reach and deepen client engagement across the event industryEstablish clear metrics and reporting frameworks that connect CRM investment to measurable revenue and retention outcomes3 | Commerce TechnologyOwn the commerce technology strategy for nuagedesigns.com — encompassing the rental ordering platform, B2B trade portal, Design Trunk program, and the end-to-end client purchasing experienceDrive platform performance across the full commerce funnel: discovery, product search, ordering, checkout, and post-purchase experienceLead the integration architecture between the commerce platform and backend systems — including inventory, order management, fulfillment, CRM, and financial reportingEvaluate and adopt emerging commerce technologies — including AI-powered tools, partnerships, and ecosystem players — that enhance the client experience and drive conversion, with a clear ROI framework for every investmentChampion a commerce experience that reflects Nuage's luxury brand standard: seamless, intuitive, and elevated at every touchpointTechnology Strategy, Roadmap & LeadershipDevelop and own Nuage's enterprise technology strategy and multi-year roadmap across all three domains — aligning priorities with business goals, operational needs, and growth targetsBuild and manage the technology ecosystem: evaluating partners, vendors, and platforms with rigor and selecting those that fit Nuage's scale, culture, and strategic ambitionsGrow the technology team deliberately — making targeted hires and adding initiative-based support as the roadmap demands, always with an eye on capital discipline and execution qualityDrive technology outcomes at scale and at expected ROI — establishing KPIs, investment frameworks, and accountability structures that connect every initiative to measurable business hands-on problem solving, and continuous improvement across technology and operational teams alikeQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE7–10 years of progressive technology leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or executive-level roleDeep domain expertise in supply chain and logistics technology — including hands-on WMS implementation experience, RFID and asset tracking systems, and a working knowledge of the logistics technology vendor landscapeProven experience leading CRM strategy and implementation — with a track record of connecting platform investment to client acquisition, retention, and revenue growthStrong commerce technology background — e-commerce platforms, B2B portals, rental or subscription ordering systems, and full-stack commerce integrationsA demonstrated ability to drive technology outcomes at scale and deliver results at expected ROI — with a portfolio of initiatives that connect technology investment to business performanceA hands-on executor by nature — known for being present with operations teams, working through problems on the ground, and driving execution personally alongside stakeholdersAn innovative problem solver who brings creative thinking to complex operational challenges without losing sight of practicality, timelines, or budgetExperience building lean technology teams and expanding them strategically — adding talent and leadershipExperience in luxury, retail, events, hospitality, or rental industries is a strong advantage; candidates with rental operations or hospitality technology backgrounds are especially
