Senior Systems Engineer Vulnerability Assessment (Remote)

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer for a large, global B2B high-tech company. In this role, you will drive vulnerability findings to resolution by collaborating with other teams. You will analyze the vulnerabilities and drive proper risk ratings based on mitigating controls in the environment and identify false positives.This is a 12-month contract (Extension possible), 40 hours per week, remote role in the US.This is a W2 employee of Stage 4 Solutions. Health benefits and 401K are offered.Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder.ResponsibilitiesDrive vulnerability findings to resolution by collaborating with other teams Ensure all vulnerabilities are fixed within their SLA Analyze the vulnerabilities and drive proper risk ratings based on mitigating controls in the environment and identify false positives Identify and drive process and tooling improvements Partner with external teams, such as compliance and security teams, to maintain high standards of security to satisfy federal mandates. Create / Update / Enhance documentation and knowledge articles. Create ad hoc queries and reports to aid in remediation efforts Fix vulnerabilities as required, preferably by using automation or configuration mgmt tooling Requirements4 years of related experience. Hands-on experience with large system designs and operations Hands-on experience with Linux Solid understanding of systems engineering concepts and components, such as DNS, Mail, Networking, System OS and hardware. Experience with security scanners, vulnerabilities and vulnerability resolution Hands-on experience programming and developing in Python or Java. Experience in cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Ability to partner with peers who are globally distributed. Strong organizational and communication skills and empathy for customers. Strong coordination & troubleshooting skills in handling Complex Incidents & escalations.
