Safety and Security Specialist

Maintain a safe and secure environment by actively monitoring the facility and engaging with employees and visitors Prepare, document, and support investigations of safety and security incidents with accuracy and timeliness Conduct regular safety audits, equipment checks, and system inspections (cameras, fire detection, suppression) to ensure compliance and prevention Manage access control, including visitor logs, and solicitor access Partner with leadership and law enforcement as needed to address incidents and maintain situational awareness Respond to emergencies, de-escalate conflicts, and provide leadership during critical situations Promote a culture of safety by guiding employees on best practices, including PPE and proper procedures Support facility operations, including opening/closing procedures and participation in safety committees and meetings Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and sound judgment Carry out additional tasks as assigned to support the safety and security of our team facility What you bring to the table! High school diploma or equivalent, required At least 2+ years of experience in warehouse safety, security, or loss prevention, preferred Ability to write detailed comprehensive incident and investigation reports, communicating clearly and concisely in a timely manner Familiarity with OSHA regulations Certification in relevant safety or loss prevention programs is a plus Ability to stand, walk, and move around the premises for extended periods, lift/move up to 75 pounds, and maintain physical fitness for inspections and emergency responses Be prepared to work in high temperatures in the distribution center during summer months and tolerate loud noise levels in some areas Strong understanding of safety regulations and loss prevention best practices, excellent observation skills, adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and commitment to staying current with the company's safety program Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Ability to foster a positive working environment and work collaboratively with team members Why do you want to work with us?
