Job Title: Pharmacy Technician II Certified - General PharmacyLocation: San Antonio, Texas, United StatesRole Overview:The Pharmacy Technician supports licensed pharmacists in delivering safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services. This role involves assisting with medication preparation, maintaining records, and supporting clinical and operational pharmacy functions in a healthcare setting.Key Responsibilities:Operational SupportAssist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications in accordance with prescriptions and established proceduresMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient medication recordsSupport the preparation of sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical products, including specialized medications where applicableHandle controlled substances in compliance with regulatory and organizational policiesEnsure all pharmacy activities are completed accurately and documented appropriatelyClinical & Administrative SupportAssist in collecting medication histories under pharmacist supervisionSupport reporting of adverse drug reactions and medication-related issuesParticipate in quality assurance and medication safety initiativesMaintain documentation, logs, and compliance records as requiredSpecialized Functions (as assigned)Support pharmacy operations in specialized areas such as IV preparation, operating room services, or outpatient servicesAssist with prescription processing and coordination for patient pickup or delivery in retail or ambulatory settingsTeam CollaborationWork under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacistSupport training and guidance of junior pharmacy staff when requiredCollaborate with healthcare teams to ensure efficient pharmacy operationsQualifications:Education:High school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience:3–5 years of pharmacy technician experience preferredLicenses & Certifications:Registered Pharmacy Technician in the applicable state (required)Certified Pharmacy Technician (preferred)IV certification (as per state requirements or role-specific needs)Work Environment:On-site healthcare settingMay involve handling pharmaceutical products and working in controlled clinical environmentsAdherence to safety and handling protocols is requiredWork Authorization:Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.Equal Opportunity Employer Statement:We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace.
