Learn more at www.amrize.com/careers.About the roleThe Strategic Account Manager is responsible for developing and executing account strategies that drive specification and adoption of commercial roofing solutions across mission-critical data center projects. The role focuses on building deep relationships with data center owners, developers, general contractors, architects, consultants, and engineering firms to position the company as the preferred roofing partner for high-performance, high-reliability environments.Why this role mattersData centers require durability, uptime, and performance. This role ensures roofing systems meet those standards while positioning the company as a leader in mission-critical infrastructure solutions.What you'll accomplishStrategic Account DevelopmentIdentify, prioritize, and manage key national and regional accounts involved in data center development (hyperscale, colocation, enterprise).Develop and execute multi-year account plans targeting owners, developers, and mission-critical design/specification firms.Map organizational structures and decision-makers within target accounts.Specification & Pre-Construction EngagementDrive roofing system specifications through early engagement with architects, consultants, and engineers.Provide technical expertise on roofing assemblies, performance characteristics, and lifecycle value tailored to mission-critical facilities.Collaborate with internal technical teams to deliver customized solutions for complex project requirements.Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain high-level relationships with data center owners and developers, mission-critical consultants and specifiers, general contractors and construction managers.Serve as a trusted advisor on roofing system performance, resilience, and long-term asset protection.Market Intelligence & PositioningMonitor industry trends in data center design, sustainability, and resiliency.Provide feedback to product development and leadership on emerging needs and competitive positioning.Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums.Sales ExecutionDrive revenue growth through specification wins and project conversions.Track project pipelines from early design through construction and close-out.Coordinate with regional sales teams and approved contractors to ensure successful project delivery.Internal CollaborationPartner with marketing, product management, and technical services to develop targeted value propositions.Support training initiatives for internal teams and external partners on mission-critical roofing solutions.What we're looking forExperience5–10+ years of experience in commercial roofing, building envelope, or construction materials.Proven track record in strategic account management or specification sales.Experience working with data centers or mission-critical infrastructure is strongly preferred.Skills & CompetenciesDeep understanding of commercial roofing systems and performance requirements.Strong technical aptitude with ability to influence design/spec decisions.Excellent relationship-building and executive communication skills.Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and account planning capability.Ability to manage complex, long-cycle sales processes.EducationBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.Key metricsSpecification wins within target accountsRevenue growth from strategic accountsPipleline development and conversion ratesNumber and depth of relationships within key accountsMarket share growth in the data center segmentTravel & BenefitsTravel: 30–60% (note: role mentions 51-60% in header; align with project needs)Competitive salaryRetirement Savings: 401(k) pre-tax or RothEmployee Stock Purchase PlanMedical, Dental, Disability and Life InsuranceWell-being programs, HSAs/FSAs, Vision and voluntary benefits Paid time off, holidays, parental leave, and Educational AssistanceLI-RemoteLI-DN1BuildingEnvelopeEEO note: Amrize is an equal opportunity employer.
