But to accomplish our ambitious goals, we need a development and fundraising operation that meets the moment.Our mission is to prevent an impending sixth mass extinction the first in Earth's history driven by the actions of a single species: ours. Unlike traditional conservation efforts, Conservation X Labs focuses on leveraging the best technology, the newest innovation, interdisciplinary genius, and the power of the marketplace to boldly confront the biggest problems facing the planet. Though humans have driven this sixth extinction, we know humans have the power to reverse it.The Development Coordinator will be a key architect of CXL's fundraising operation, helping to build the systems and communications infrastructure that will power our growth. This means working closely with the co-founders and leadership, with our board and partners, and with donors directly. Much of this work involves building, owning, and continuously improving the repeatable systems and processes that make everything else possible the kind of foundational work that scales with the organization and makes the whole team smarter and faster.Key activities will include the following, though the role will naturally evolve as the organization grows and needs emerge:Systems & Infrastructure [core function]Salesforce CRM experience, including admin functions, is required for this role.Enter and maintain donor information, contact details, interactions, and meeting notes to ensure records are clean, accurate, and current across the full donor portfolioLead data hygiene efforts including deduplication, address updates, tagging, and record cleanupBuild and pull reports and dashboards for donor segmentation, stewardship, and cultivation planning; produce Salesforce reports for the executive teamTroubleshoot issues and collaborate with Salesforce support to enhance automation and usabilityMaintain internal documentation and support consistent adoption across the teamEngagement & Stewardship [core function]Writing and donor-facing communication are central to this role we're looking for someone who enjoys creating material that is compelling, clear, and memorable.Draft, assemble, and support the submission of grant proposals and donor reports, including writing proposals, updating templates, and ensuring on-time delivery of all grant and donor reportingDraft polished donor-facing communications including thank-you notes, follow-up emails, and program updates or overviewsGenerate and deliver donor acknowledgments that are timely, high-quality, and personalizedProcess gifts accurately and on scheduleMaintain an organized library of templates and stewardship materialsPipeline & Prospect IntelligenceResearch individuals, foundations, and corporations to assess alignment, capacity, and engagement strategiesSynthesize findings from public sources and internal data into concise, actionable research briefs and updated donor profiles that help leadership tailor outreach, deepen engagement, and expand the pipelineMaintain updated prospect tags, research notes, and qualification stages in SalesforceOrganizational CoordinationProvide support to leadership including calendar, inbox, and document managementPrepare briefing memos and supporting materials for donor conversations and internal meetingsProcess gifts accurately and on scheduleTrack and own departmental deadlines including pledge schedules, grant installments, and reporting timelinesCoordinate cross-functionally with Finance, Communications, and Program Operations to support donor stewardship and accurate reportingProvide logistics support for eventsWhat Success Looks Like:Become the go-to Salesforce resource for clean, reliable data and reporting.Establish predictable, accurate workflows that support gift processing, research, and donor stewardship.Strengthen coordination between Development, Finance, Program, and Communications teams.Enable frontline fundraisers to spend more time building relationships and less time managing administrative tasks.Draft and support the submission of grant proposals and donor reports that reflect CXL's voice and ambitionContribute to a more organized, efficient, and scalable development operationone aligned with CXL's shift toward proactive, relationship-driven fundraising.Have become a trusted, indispensable member of a team that is actively raising the funds to end extinctionQualifications:Bachelor's degree AND 2+ years of relevant experience in fundraising or development operations in a past role.Salesforce experience, including basic admin-level functionality (custom fields, reports, dashboards, workflows, data imports).Exceptional writing, editing, and professional communication skills.Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Comfort handling confidential financial and donor information.A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and eagerness to learn.A people-first attitude and comfort building relationships across a team and with donors.Exposure to finance processes and reconciliation.Genuine passion for nature, conservation, and the belief that science, technology, and innovation can solve the world's greatest challengesCompensation and Benefits:Salary ranges from $66,000-92,000 based on experience.
