Sales Director - Aggregates, Asphalt & Ready Mix (Confidential)Location: OhioOverview:Our client, a well-established and highly respected family-owned construction materials producer, is seeking a proactive and strategic Sales Director to lead and develop their commercial operations across Aggregates, Asphalt, Ready Mix Concrete, and Asphalt Paving services.This individual will oversee a team of 8 sales professionals while driving market expansion, customer growth, and long-term commercial strategy across the region. The organization is experiencing continued growth and is looking for a high-impact leader capable of helping elevate the business to the next level.This position offers a clear progression path into a Vice President of Sales role within the next 3 years.Key Responsibilities:Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 8 Sales Representatives across multiple product lines.Establish and execute long-term sales and market growth strategies.Expand market presence across commercial, DOT, municipal, and private sector clients.Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, owners, and key decision-makers.Collaborate closely with Operations, Dispatch, Estimating, and Executive Leadership to align sales strategy with production capabilities and growth initiatives.Identify new business opportunities, geographic expansion areas, and strategic partnerships.Monitor market trends, pricing strategies, and competitor activity.Drive accountability, performance metrics, and sales forecasting across the team.Support succession planning and help build a high-performing sales culture.Requirements:8+ years of sales leadership experience within Aggregates, Asphalt, Ready Mix, Heavy Civil, or Construction Materials industries.Proven experience managing and developing successful sales teams.Strong understanding of construction materials markets, contractor relationships, and infrastructure projects.Strategic mindset with the ability to drive both short-term revenue and long-term growth initiatives.Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.Experience overseeing multi-product sales environments is highly preferred.What’s on Offer:Clear pathway to Vice President of Sales within 2–3 years.Opportunity to lead commercial growth for a highly respected and financially stable organization.Strong compensation package including base salary, bonus structure, vehicle allowance, and benefits.Long-term career stability with a company actively investing in growth and market expansion.Collaborative leadership team and strong company culture focused on long-term success.
