IT Business Analyst (Tax/Finance)
Brief DescriptionPurposeThe Business Analyst will be primarily responsible for assessing all aspects of core business processes and procedures utilizing best business practices and current analysis techniques and methodologiesKey ResponsibilitiesServe as a cross-functional team member or leader to analyze business problems, define business requirements, identify and recommend solutions to complex problems and process improvementsAct as a liaison between the business and the IT development team, translating user needs into functional specifications and workable business solutions Participate and potentially lead process improvement teams and manage small to large-scale software implementation including ERP installations and upgradesDesign, test implement and maintain small complexity software applications, queries and reports adhering to the standards documented within the IS department while working under direct supervisionEffectively uses case analysis, requirements analysis and process modeling in assessing processes and proceduresMeet policies and procedures for testing and promoting applications and reportsWrite detailed application and report documentation; prepare customer procedures and functional specifications following established guidelinesManage large and small scale software implementation/business process reengineering projectsPlans and designs complex maintenance and enhancements, reports, forms, interfaces, and data conversionsAssist post-installation by working with customers and IT personnel to solve small to medium problems and issuesConduct end-user training, IT department training, and presentations to management and user groups; Understands Roseburg’s business processes and develops practical and efficient process designs, documentation, and user proceduresLeads application testing and validationModel Company core valuesRequired QualificationsBachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or related fieldExcellent verbal, written and oral communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in a related fieldWood products industry knowledge a plusExperience with Oracle’s JD Edwards E1Experience with Vertex TaxExperience with in SAP AribaSummaryAbout Roseburg Forest ProductsFounded in 1936, Roseburg Forest Products is a privately held company based in Springfield, Oregon.
