Senior Facility Desktop Support TechnicianA Senior Facility Desktop Support Technician provides expert-level technical support and leadership, ensuring the stability and efficiency of the IT infrastructure. This role involves the comprehensive installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of diverse IT equipment, including computers, scanners, label printers, medication carts, WOWs, and related peripherals. Additionally, they collaborate with the IT Asset Manager on departmental asset management.Duties & ResponsibilitiesResolving complex hardware and software issues that escape from junior technicians.Performing root cause analysis to prevent recurring problems.Troubleshooting network infrastructure related to desktop connectivity.Mentoring and training junior technicians.Developing and documenting best practices and procedures.Leading small IT projects and deployments.Managing and maintaining desktop operating systems and software applications.Implementing and enforcing security policies and procedures.Managing user accounts and access permissions.Serving as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues.Communicating with vendors and other IT teams to resolve problems.Identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact users.Performing system performance monitoring and optimization.Contributing to the development of IT infrastructure improvements.Creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation.Generating reports on support activities and system performance.Contributing to knowledge base articles.Participating in IT related projects, such as operating system roll outs, or hardware refreshes.Often providing support to executive level employees.Provide on-site technical support to users, addressing questions and issues related to AV systems for the network.Performs other duties as assigned or required.Minimum QualificationsGraduation from a senior High School or evidence of having passes an examination for a High School equivalency diploma and four years of satisfactory full-time paid experience within a computer environment, at least one year of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity; orEducation and/or experience equivalent to 1 above.Department PreferencesKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and other Requirements:Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and customer service skills.In-depth knowledge of operating systems, hardware, and software.AV experience a plusKnowledge of Windows 10 and 11Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Knowledge of networking systems.Years of Experience4 years of satisfactory full-time experience within a computer environment.Supervisory experience.BenefitsComprehensive Health Benefits for employees hired to work 20+ hrs. per week.Retirement Savings and Pension Plans.Loan Forgiveness Programs for eligible employees.Paid Holidays and Vacation in accordance with employees' Collectively bargained contracts.College tuition discounts and professional development opportunities.Multiple employee discounts programs.J-18808-Ljbffr
