Job Description HVAC PM Technician – Preventive MaintenanceJob SummarySeeking an HVAC Preventive Maintenance Technician to support a large, 24/7 operating facility. This role focuses on routine PM and basic repairs of HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial/industrial environments. The technician will help ensure safe, reliable operation of temperature control systems supporting mission-critical spaces.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance on direct expansion (DX) refrigeration systems and four-pipe primary/secondary HVAC systemsInspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC components including:Exhaust fans (belt and direct drive)Fan coil unitsFilters, belts, motors, and bearingsUse standard HVAC testing and diagnostic equipment to identify system deficienciesReplace filters, adjust belt tension, replace worn belts, and lubricate motor bearingsAccess elevated equipment using ladders and aerial liftsDocument work and communicate effectively with team membersPerform work in varying weather conditions as requiredSchedule24/7/365 operationMultiple shifts availableRotating weekends and schedule adjustments during extreme weather eventsQualificationsBasic RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GEDEPA 608 Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)Valid driver's licenseMinimum 1 year of HVAC maintenance experience in an industrial, commercial, or manufacturing environmentBasic computer and radio communication skillsAbility to read/write work orders and perform basic typingPreferredAssociate's Degree or technical school training (or equivalent experience)CFC certification3+ years of HVAC maintenance experience in commercial or industrial facilities
