Leveraging state-of-the-art tools and technologies, we are committed to delivering exceptional results and exceeding expectations.OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated Materials Engineer to support our polymer materials research, testing, and validation activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for sample preparation, material characterization, and providing data-driven inputs for computer-aided engineering (CAE), durability, and multiphysics simulations. This role requires close collaboration with product development and engineering teams while ensuring rigorous documentation and lab maintenance.Key ResponsibilitiesSample Preparation: Cut, polish, and mount polymer and composite samples for testing.Material Testing: Execute mechanical, thermal, and physical property tests using specialized lab equipment.Material Characterization: Analyze experimental results and support materials modeling activities.Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operate laboratory instruments and assist in calibration and upkeep.Data & Documentation: Record test results with high accuracy; maintain and organize materials database.Engineering Support: Collaborate with senior engineers on R&D, validation, and product development projects.Lab Safety & Organization: Ensure laboratory safety protocols, housekeeping, and equipment readiness are upheld.QualificationsEducation: B.S. in Materials Science/Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Chemistry, or Physics (M.S. preferred).Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience with polymers, plastics, or composites (automotive or related sector preferred).Strong background in materials preparation, testing, and characterization.Knowledge of polymer formulation, processing, and structure–property relationships.Organized, detail-oriented, with excellent skills in documentation, reporting, and data management.Collaboration & Communication: Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams; exceptional verbal & written communication skills.Preferred SkillsExposure to finite element analysis (FEA), CAE, or multiphysics simulations.Familiarity with injection molding, extrusion, or composite processing.Experience with thermal analysis (DSC, TGA), DMA, tensile and fatigue testing.
