What you'll do: Performs preventative and general maintenance and repairs associated with automated printing presses, bindery and packaging machinery equipment Diagnoses problems, makes adjustments, troubleshoots and provides the required maintenance to equipment in a timely manner to ensure optimal performance and operational effectiveness Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, setup, and install parts on machines to maximize quality and production Works with operations manuals and manufacturer's instructions to optimize equipment performance Communicates effectively with various departments and outside vendors regarding issues, resolutions and status updates pertaining to equipment problems Work with various types of electrical, pneumatic and manual hand tools Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs systems such as switches, motors, pumps, transformers, relays, and circuit-breaker panels Initiates purchase orders for replacement parts Install/repair wiring and bend conduit for newly installed and existing electrical/mechanical equipment Replaces, inspects, and adjusts settings on our industrial equipment Works with other members of the team to complete orders in an accurate and efficient manner that supports operational excellence Observes established safe working (including lock-out/tag-out) and housekeeping procedures and follows all standard operating procedures and work instructions Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit What you'll bring: Requires High School diploma or equivalent Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of experience as outlined above, including experience with PLC ladder logic; previous experience working in the printing industry is highly desirable Experience with electrical controls, pneumatic systems, vision inspection stations, fiber optic sensors, inductive sensors, load sensors, scales, industrial inkjet and labeling printers is required Possesses commendable mechanical and troubleshooting skills Possess a solid understanding and aptitude of electrical and mechanical systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Working knowledge of applicable standards (e.g. ANSI, IEEE, UL) for electrical/mechanical equipment Possess solid knowledge and understanding of working with tolerances, schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams of electrical and mechanical equipment Ability to work Night shift 7pm-7am on a 2,2,3,2 rotation after training Ability to train 7am-4pm (training ~6-8 weeks)) Must be able to push, pull, lift or carry up to as much as 60 pounds occasionally How You Will Be Successful Communication: You understand the importance of active listening and clear communication channels to prevent misunderstandings, enhance teamwork, and create inclusive communication.
