Director, Global Customs & Trade Compliance (New Brunswick, NJ)ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership: Influence and execute the strategic direction for global customs compliance.Process Optimization: Standardize and optimize global trade activities, policies, and procedures with Regional Compliance Leads.Training & Development: Design and deliver customs compliance training across the enterprise.Duty Savings: Maximize duty savings using Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), Free Trade Zones (FTZs), and other duty reduction programs.Audit & Partnership: Establish global frameworks for government partnership programs (e.g., C-TPAT, AEO) and maintain continuous audit readiness.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Tax, Legal, Finance, and external partners to align on global trade strategies.Product Classification: Oversee Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification assignments for products and commodities.Senior Support: Primary backup to the Executive Director, ensuring continuity of leadership and strategic decision-making.Required Qualifications10+ years progressive experience in global trade compliance in a highly regulated industry (preferably biopharma).Bachelor's degree required; Master's/advanced degree preferred.Ability to interpret complex government regulations and translate them into actionable business strategies.Proven success leading and mentoring geographically dispersed, diverse teams.Exceptional communication, analytical, and leadership skills.Experience managing customs audits and engaging with government enforcement authorities.Certifications/knowledge: C-TPAT, AEO, FTZ (essential).Preferred QualificationsUS Licensed Customs Broker (LCB).Compensation$184,090 - $223,077 (New Brunswick, NJ, US)Application instructionIf the role doesn't perfectly match your resume, apply anyway.J-18808-Ljbffr
