Job title: Data Center FacilitatorClient: Elite FinTechSalary: $100,000-$200,000 + BonusLocation: ChicagoSkills: Data Centers, Coordination, Scheduling, Projects, Hardware, Networks, TradingThe role:My Elite FinTech client are seeking a Data Center Facilitator to work in a complex role, coordinating areas such as repairs and installs across geographically distributed Data Centers.This role requires work covering Tuesday-Saturday, with a standard 9am-5pm Tuesday-Thursday, and an overnight shift on Friday / Saturday as this is the key change window.Key responsibilities:Racking / Stacking / Commissioning / Decomm or Infrastructure and Network equipment in Data CentersCreating flawless documentation for installationsCoordination of Engineers, Smart / Remote hands, and partnersManaging multiple concurrent projectsTroubleshooting / replacing core DC hardware - hard drives, cabling, power supplies etc.Providing initial triage of network issuesMaintaining accurate inventoryKey skills / experience required:Data Center experience (Racking / Stacking / Cabling / Hardware troubleshooting etc.Understanding of Server hardwareBasic Network troubleshooting (Cabling / Optics / Switch CLI etc.)Proven experience managing concurrent projectsExcellent documentation skillsDesirable:Experience working in Trading / Low Latency environmentsExperience working with major Colo providersBasic Linux command line experience a plusPlease apply ASAP for more information.
