Job RequirementsPosition SummaryUnder the direction of the Manager, assesses, develops and implements plan of care given as well as the response measured from the exercise prescription. Additional responsibilities include patient education concerning cardiac education, activity progression, and dietary modification for adults 18 and older.Minimum RequirementsEducationBachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or Physical Education with emphasis on Health and Wellness.ExperienceN/ALicense/Registration/Certifications Certification in Basic Life SupportPreferred RequirementsPreferred EducationMaster’s Degree in Exercise SciencePreferred Experience2-3 years’ experience in Cardiac or Pulmonary RehabPreferredPreferred License/Registration/Certifications Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist from American College of Sports MedicineCertified Cardiac Rehab Professional from American Association of Cardiac and Pulmonary RehabCertification in Advanced Cardiac Life SupportCore Job ResponsibilitiesSuccessful completion of Arrhythmia course.Provides excellent customer service and effective communication with both internal and external customers of the department. Serves as a clinical resource within the department.Ensures that appropriate critical path/standard of care/plan of care is identified and collaboratively implemented.Consistently follows all regulatory guidelines for the department and hospital. Completes all documentation requirements thoroughly and in a timely manner per hospital requirements. Communicates effectively with all members of the care delivery team.Other duties as assigned
