Whether you will spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, at CMC, you’ll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.What You'll DoReview project proposal/plan to determine time frame, funding margins, and proceduresEnsure direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects from initial budget through project closeout, managing costs, and maximizing profitabilityResolve daily issues that may arise effectively to ensure a timely, safe, and profitable projectResolve all conflicts and misunderstandings in the contract & specificationReview constructability constraints by identifying value engineering opportunitiesPrepare project reports for management and customersPrepare and collect change orders and ensure work is delegated appropriatelyDevelop and communicate a QAS/QC plan - including specific responsibilities and proceduresWhat You'll NeedMinimum 5 years experience with managing construction projectsRebar, concrete, and general contracting experience, highly preferredAbility to read and understand contract documents and drawingSolid understanding of project costs/cost control with strong financial and business acumenStrong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbalStrong scheduling, planning, organizing, problem solving, time managing, and prioritizing work skillsProficient in MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerpointYour EducationBachelor’s Degree in one of the following: Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, preferredWe are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
