Project Controller Specialist:On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Procom is searching for a Project Controller Specialist for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client's Houston, Texas 77002 office.Project Controller Specialist - Job Description:The Project Controller Specialist will provide project management support services, focusing on project initiation, cost management, change management, progress measurement, and project close-out. The role involves collaborating with project managers to develop and review project plans, estimates, schedules, and contractual requirements, ensuring project schedule and cost objectives are met. Project Controller Specialist - Responsibilities:• Develop PC organizational structure and staffing worksheet • Review and provide input into estimates, mapping to the control WBS • Communicate control WBS to scheduling and contractor for reporting requirements • Ensure maintenance of project controls plan documentation • Review project documentation and provide feedback during project assurance reviews • Monitor cost progress and performance metrics to identify trends • Evaluate and recommend allowances for design unknowns, escalation, and contingency • Interface with project management, engineering, construction, and procurement departments • Provide mentorship and support to junior and intermediate project controllers Project Controller Specialist - Mandatory Skills:• University degree with 15+ years of related experience • Excellent communication skills • Full understanding of Earned Value Management and progress measurement • Experience in cost management and project forecasting • Ability to analyze data for initial estimates and contract awards • Experience with high-risk capital programs or projects • Proficiency in project controls and monitoring procedures Project Controller Specialist - Nice-to-Have Skills:• Field experience • Experience with different asset types • Supervisory experience in project controls • Experience in administrative, financial, and system close-out activities • Familiarity with HRIM and QRA meetings Project Controller Specialist - Assignment Length:This is a 12-month contract position.
