We invite you to apply to join our team of employees who are dedicated to excellence that meet the needs of the warfighters and our customers around the world, day in and day out.Job SummarySets up and operates automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation | Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications | Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment | Performs all work in accordance with established safety proceduresImpact of the RoleGeneral ProfileRequires full proficiency in a range of technical processes or procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experienceCompletes a variety of atypical assignmentsWorks within defined technical processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignmentsWorks with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused only on complex new assignments Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experiencePerforms manual tasks according to established proceduresEssential FunctionsSets up and operates production equipment to manufacture, process, and assemble various commercial products and substances. Uses product specifications, blueprints, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOP) to produce products. Monitors output for quality and conformance to required metrics. Prepares and maintains required records of production activities and reports any inconsistencies or equipment issues. Follows established guidelines for safe material handling and protective gear. Studies and records time, motion, methods, and speed to improve efficiency. Establishes a standard production rate in performance of maintenance, production, clerical, and other worker operations. Troubleshoots issues related to manufacturing operations and industrial layout.Required QualificationsRequired education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or ExperiencePreferred QualificationsPreferred education and experience: Associate's DegreeDiscipline/Major: Technical training preferredKnowledge, skills & abilities: Technical expertise. Ability to identify and seek needed information. Research skills. Problem-solving skills. Machine Operation. Machine Programming, Manufacturing. Numerical Control. Precision Measurement.
