HVAC Technician
HVAC TechnicianBear Staffing is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician for a growing company within the modular building industry in the Orlando area. This role is primarily a yard-based position responsible for the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of HVAC systems within modular buildings, mobile office units, and related equipment.The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic abilities, experience working in yard and service environments, and hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing Bard HVAC units. While the role is primarily based in the yard, this position may also include servicing customer locations throughout the Orlando area as needed.This is a hands-on role supporting modular building operations, refurbishments, and service work.ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and final repairs on HVAC systems and related equipmentDiagnose, troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, maintain, and service commercial HVAC equipmentTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain Bard HVAC wall-mounted unitsService air conditioning systems, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, exhaust fans, economizers, radiant heaters, and related systemsRespond to HVAC service calls as directed by managementClean and remove dust, dirt, and debris from HVAC systems and componentsMaintain accurate work orders, labor tracking, maintenance records, and documentation from initiation to completionRecommend and order necessary equipment and repair materials as neededCommunicate professionally with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve service-related issuesAssist with general maintenance and refurbishment work on modular units and related equipment including:Door repairsPlumbing issuesRoof repairsTile replacementSecurity installation/removalVandalism repairsAssist team members with emergency response and maintenance-related issues as neededFollow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements at all timesPerform additional duties as assignedRequirements4+ years of HVAC, maintenance, or construction experience requiredExperience troubleshooting and repairing Bard HVAC units requiredEPA Universal Refrigerant Handling License requiredHVAC Certification or technical training preferredClean MVR requiredAbility to pass required background screeningsStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skillsComfortable using hand and power tools dailyBasic mechanical experience working with vehicles and equipmentAverage computer knowledge and ability to maintain records electronicallyStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to read and interpret technical documents and maintenance recordsAbility to work independently and manage workload efficientlyPreferred BackgroundCommercial HVAC experienceModular building or construction industry experienceExperience working in field service or yard environmentsPreventative maintenance experienceStrong customer service and communication skillsBenefits (employee contribution):Health insuranceHealth savings accountDental insuranceVision insuranceFlexible spending accountsLife insuranceRetirement planAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
