We are in the process of hiring a EHS Manager in Griffin, GA.Ecopol was founded in 2009 in the heart of Tuscany (Italy) with the idea of helping people safeguard the unique landscape that surrounds us and, ultimately, our wonderful planet. Our products are used in many different applications; From the packaging of household cleaners to that of agricultural chemicals, through the treatment of swimming pools and SPAs to many other applications, our idea has always been the same: to provide the consumer with a product that is easy to use, safe and ecological.Position:The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for creating, implementing, and enforcing safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe workplace. This role includes monitoring employee compliance with safety regulations, investigating workplace accidents and injuries, and providing safety training and education.Duties: Maintain a safe work environment that meets the quality and production standards set by management.Develop and implement policies and practices to identify/mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplaceCreate comprehensive safety plans and procedures.Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to ensure and verify compliance.Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and preventive measures.Provide safety training and instruction to employees.Ensure adherence to safety regulations, compliance to standards and site permits.Keep track and record of any mandatory significant parameter as per request from authorities and site permits. Monitor and evaluate safety performance metrics.Recommend and manage all safety PPE needsMaintain all OSHA recordsPursue ongoing professional development through seminars, workshops, and technical courses.Implement and support all company policies, safety programs, and good housekeeping practices.Document and communicate team actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs effectively using verbal and digital communication methods.Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by following established standards and complying with legal codes and regulations.Create and manage site emergency response plan and readinessMaintain and analyze records of workplace injuries to identify areas of concern and provide information required by regulatory agencies.Additional duties may be assigned by management. Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety or Environmental Health, a related field is preferred, or 5 years of equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment. Certification in safety management (e.g., Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), OSHA certifications) is a plus. In-depth knowledge of safety and health regulations and practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work collaboratively and promote teamwork.First Aid certification is a plus.Ability to work independently.
