Plant Engineer Controls

IntroductionWe are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Plant Engineer Controls. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing improvements to control systems and equipment using Factory Information Systems (FIS) data. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.Required Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED5 years of related Controls experienceExperience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) such as Siemens, Rexroth, Allan BradleyStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with Client Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Prior work experience in the industryApplicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2Preferred Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in EngineeringLean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experienceFamiliarity with UL508A requirements and NFPA79Experience with Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal programming and troubleshootingMachining and automation equipment controls troubleshooting experienceDay-to-Day ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement improvements to control systems and equipmentLead problem solving and troubleshooting activitiesAssist in the training of manufacturing personnel and plant electriciansIntegrate controls into IT systems like Factory Information Systems (FIS), Error Proofing, QWX, IIoT, and QTSReview and coordinate project installations and reprogram equipment for engineering changesMaintain program backups for machinery and automationProgram new installations of automation, machinery, material handling, and robotsParticipate in risk assessments evaluating equipment safetyFor immediate consideration please click APPLY to begin the screening process with Alex.
