Floor Technician

Job Description We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Floor Technician to maintain and restore floor surfaces in commercial and industrial environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning, buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors while ensuring a safe and sanitary workplace.Key ResponsibilitiesClean and maintain various types of flooring including tile, vinyl, concrete, and carpetPerform floor care duties such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishingOperate floor care equipment including buffers, burnishers, and scrubbersSweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness standardsRemove stains, spills, and debris to prevent hazardsFollow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipmentMaintain equipment and report any malfunctions or needed repairsEnsure all work is completed according to safety and sanitation guidelinesAssist with general janitorial duties as neededQualificationsPrevious floor technician or janitorial experience preferredKnowledge of floor care techniques and equipmentAbility to operate cleaning machinery safelyStrong attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periodsWork EnvironmentCommercial or industrial facilitiesMay include cold or hot environments depending on locationFast-paced setting requiring efficiency and attention to detailPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift 25–50 lbsProlonged standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motionAbility to work with cleaning chemicals safely
