Supply Planning Operations Intern
Program OverviewThe Supply Planning Operations Intern role is designed for current students with strong analytical capabilities who are looking to expand their operational knowledge and grow into future roles across Supply Chain, Planning, Operations, or Business Analytics.Participants will complete project assignments that build technical expertise, operational fluency, and cross-functional leadership capabilities. This program is ideal for individuals who are deeply skilled in Excel and data analysis and who thrive in dynamic, evolving environments.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipants in the program will engage in hands-on work and development experiences such as: Operational & Analytical SupportUse advanced Excel proficiency to support day-to-day operational activities, including purchase order creation, document reviews, reporting, and data validationBuild and automate recurring reports and dashboards to enhance visibility into operational performanceConduct data analyses to support decision-making and identify trends, risks, or opportunities Process Improvement & Change EnablementEvaluate current processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvementsParticipate in or lead process improvement activities (e.g., workflow redesign, data standardization, documentation updates)Adapt quickly within a shifting operational environment and actively contribute to evolving workflows Supply Chain & Demand Planning ImmersionGain foundational exposure to demand planning, supply planning, procurement, and logisticsLearn the inputs, outputs, and KPIs that drive planning cycles and supply chain decisionsSupport forecasting, inventory analysis, and planning activities for rapid ramp-up into future analyst or specialist roles Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with teams such as Procurement, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, and Quality to support shared business objectivesParticipate in cross-functional meetings and contribute analytical insightsBuild strong working relationships and become a trusted resource for data-driven recommendationsRequired QualificationsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling, and report automationDemonstrated experience in data analysis, problem-solving, and translating insights into actionable recommendationsPrior experience working in a dynamic or changing environment with evolving prioritiesExposure to demand planning, supply chain, procurement, or operations through previous work experience or project workStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams and functionsPreferred QualificationsExperience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)Background in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar)Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in fast-paced settingsPowered by JazzHRkSWpzW9d6w
