Resident Director

DescriptionThe Resident Director (RD) plays a key leadership and community-building role in our student housing apartment complex. The RD is responsible for fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging residential experience. The RD supports student well-being, enforces community policies, helps coordinate programming, and serves as a first point of contact for conflict resolution and after-hours issues.What You’ll DoBuild positive relationships with residents and maintain a visible presence within the community.Serve as a resource and support system for residents, providing guidance and referrals as needed.Promote and enforce community policies and housing guidelines to ensure a respectful living environment.Respond to after-hours situations or emergencies (e.g., noise complaints, wellness checks, lockouts, minor incidents).Assist with roommate conflict mediation and general resident concerns.Support move-in and move-out processes, including orientations and inspections.Help plan and facilitate community events or engagement activities.Conduct routine walk-throughs and report maintenance or safety concerns.Collaborate with property management and student housing staff on community operations.What You'll NeedPrior experience in student housing, residential life, or campus leadership preferred.Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication skills.Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or emergency situations.Reliable, approachable, and committed to creating a positive student living environment.Must be able to participate in after-hours on-call rotation (if applicable).What You’ll Get (Peak Perks)Paid Parental Leave + one free year of free diapers 15 Days of PTO + 2 additional “Me Days”401(k) Match Wellness initiatives, healthy team competitions and virtual yoga classes through Peak’s LiveWell program Leadership training Additional rewards and recognition10 Year “Peakiversary” TripWho We ArePeakMade Real Estate is an Atlanta-based company that specializes in the management and development of off-campus student housing, multi-family and build to rent communities across the US.
