Metals Recycling / Scale Operator ~ $19 per hour

This is a job that will keep you active as you work with customers selling their scrap metals and electronics. This is an important role within recycling, as you will be identifying what materials the customer has and what the items are worth. This is a very hands-on job as your role will also be assisting in the sorting of the materials before they are properly compressed into baler machines. Main duties: Assist customers by grading, weighing and purchasing ferrous/non-ferrous metals such as insulated wire, copper, brass, aluminum, steel, etc., Understanding and Identifying various scrap metal grades Move products and materials out of warehouse using forklift or front end loader Enter data into computer system including purchases and sales Ensure excellent customer service Assist law enforcement with theft policies The work environment is an outdoor warehouse, which is how most recycling is done.
