The primary focus of this role is to deliver Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) as outlined in each student's IEP to prevent academic regression and maintain functional skills.Key ResponsibilitiesSpecially Designed Instruction: Plan and deliver individualized lessons in core academic areas, social-emotional regulation, and functional life skills tailored to students in grades 6-12.Progress Monitoring: Collect, analyze, and document data on student goals to ensure accurate reporting of growth or regression during the summer termBehavioral Support: Implement positive behavioral intervention strategies to support students who may struggle with emotional regulation or irritability when faced with challengesCollaboration: Work closely with paraprofessionals and related service providers, such as Speech-Language Pathologists, to ensure a cohesive learning environment.Reporting: Complete end-of-summer progress reports that provide clear, data-driven feedback for families and the students' school-year IEP teams.
