Supply Chain Manager - Contract Negotiation
Position Overview:A well‑established manufacturing organization is seeking a Supply Chain Manager with a strong procurement and contract negotiation background to lead sourcing strategy and supplier management. This role will be responsible for driving cost optimization, improving supplier performance, and ensuring supply continuity while partnering closely with operations, engineering, and finance.Key Responsibilities:Own and lead the procurement and sourcing strategy across direct and indirect materialsNegotiate supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and long‑term supply arrangementsManage and evaluate supplier performance related to cost, quality, delivery, and riskIdentify and execute cost‑saving initiatives without compromising quality or serviceCollaborate with manufacturing and planning teams to align sourcing activities with production needsDevelop and maintain strong supplier relationships, including escalation and dispute resolutionMonitor raw material markets and proactively manage supply riskEnsure purchasing and contract compliance with company policies and contractual termsOversee inventory strategy in partnership with materials planning to support operational efficiencyUtilize ERP/MRP systems to manage purchasing, contracts, and reportingLead, mentor, and develop procurement or supply chain team membersQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field5+ years of progressive procurement or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environmentDemonstrated success in contract negotiation, strategic sourcing, and supplier managementStrong understanding of commodities, cost drivers, and supplier market dynamicsExperience working with ERP/MRP systemsStrong analytical skills with the ability to influence decisions using dataExcellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skillsPreferred Experience:Manufacturing or packaging industry backgroundLeading formal sourcing or contract renegotiation initiativesContinuous improvement exposure (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)Why This Role:High‑impact position with ownership over procurement strategyOpportunity to influence cost structure and supplier relationshipsCollaborative, operations‑driven environmentCompetitive compensation and benefits
