Protection & Controls Engineer

⚡Protection & Controls Engineer | EPBWe're looking for an experienced Controls Engineer to lead protection and control design for our evolving electric system — including substations, line devices, and underground infrastructure.As we expand into battery storage, solar, and electrification, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our grid.🔧 What You'll Do• Perform system protection analysis and develop relay protection & control designs• Oversee substation installation, testing, and commissioning• Create and modify protective relay settings• Support projects that improve reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction✅ What We're Looking For• BS in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering (or related)• 8+ years of relevant experience• Background in electric utility operations and protection/control systems• Experience with relay testing, commissioning, and CAD software (MicroStation/AutoCAD)• Familiarity with utility software (CYME, ETAP, Milsoft) a plus• PE license preferred, not required• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills• Valid driver's license requiredReady to power what's next?
