Job Title: Manual Lathe OperatorLocation: Houston, TX 77043Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm (Monday-Friday)Job OverviewHelp drive shop productivity and profitability by working closely with the shop team, leadman, and shop foreman to continually increase efficiency and improve performance in the workplace.Job DutiesPractice basic and complicated machining procedures to ensure personal and coworker safety and efficient operationSet up and efficiently operate manual lathe and mill with minimal supervisionProvide accurate documentation on time cards and work ordersKeep machines and work areas clean and organizedProvide an adequate set of O.D., I.D., and depth micrometers up to 6\"Interpret manufacturing drawings with minimal supervisionMachine parts for work orders according to drawing specifications with normal supervisionInspect parts for conformance to drawing before sending to the Quality Control DepartmentMaintain an acceptable scrap levelUnderstand and conform to company policiesPerform other duties as assigned by supervisorJob RequirementsExperience:1+ years verifiable experience as a manual lathe and mill machine operatorEducation:High school graduate or equivalentPreferred:ISO 9001:2015 trainingSkills:Mechanical aptitudeDetail-orientedMeticulousInterpersonal skills
