OT Developer
We are looking for an experienced Operational Technology Developer with a minimum of 5+ years of professional hands on experience in Siemens WinCC and TIA Portal to support the design, development, and implementation of industrial automation and control system solutions within a highly regulated biopharmaceutical R&D environment.This role focuses on PLC programming, SCADA/HMI development, system integration, and industrial data connectivity, with a strong emphasis on Siemens-based automation environments. The successful candidate will contribute to reliable, scalable, and compliant OT solutions while working closely with product owners, architects, and cross functional teams in an international Agile delivery environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement industrial automation solutions for operational technology environmentsDevelop PLC programs primarily using Siemens TIA Portal and create SCADA/HMI applications using Siemens WinCCSupport integration of OT systems with higher level digital, laboratory, and manufacturing platformsContribute to technical specifications, functional documentation, and validation related deliverablesEnsure solutions align with applicable quality and compliance standards in regulated environmentsImplement industrial communication interfaces using protocols such as OPC UA, MODBUS, or Ethernet/IPParticipate in system testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and proof of concept activitiesCollaborate with product owners, technical architects, and business stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver scalable solutionsContribute actively within Agile project structures and cross functional international development teamsRequirementsEducationBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or a related technical fieldProfessional ExperienceMinimum 5+ years of professional experience in industrial automation, operational technology, or industrial control systemsProven hands on experience in PLC programming and industrial application development, with strong focus on Siemens TIA Portal and WinCCSolid project experience in designing and implementing automation solutions in industrial environmentsExperience working in manufacturing, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated environments is highly beneficialTechnical SkillsStrong expertise in PLC programming using Siemens TIA Portal as a primary platformStrong practical experience in SCADA/HMI development using Siemens WinCCExperience with additional automation platforms such as CODESYS or comparable systems is advantageousGood understanding of industrial communication protocols such as OPC DA, OPC UA, MODBUS, or Ethernet/IPFamiliarity with industrial control architectures and system integration principlesBasic knowledge of SQL databases, software interfaces, and industrial data connectivity is advantageousPreferred QualificationsExperience with broader Siemens environments and integrated automation architecturesExposure to DCS platforms such as DeltaV or PCS systemsKnowledge of GAMP 5, GxP, ISA 88, or ISA 95 standardsFamiliarity with REST APIs, WebSocket technologies, or modern integration conceptsExperience with version control systems such as GitHubExposure to testing automation, CI/CD pipelines, or containerized environments is an advantageUnderstanding of virtualization, monitoring tools, or industrial network architecturesWorking EnvironmentFully onsite role with close collaboration across engineering and operational teamsInternational and multicultural project environmentCross functional collaboration across global teams and multiple time zonesOpportunity to contribute to innovative OT solutions in a highly regulated R&D setting
