Company DescriptionIliad is a nonprofit dedicated to advancing foundational AI alignment research. We run the Iliad Intensive, the Iliad Fellowship, and a range of conferences that bring together researchers working on the hardest problems in AI safety. We also incubate research organizations and an academic journal, and have an internal research team. We're a small and quickly growing team.Role DescriptionAs Operations Generalist, you'll be responsible for providing operations support to Iliad's programs, including:Managing internal and external communicationsCoordinating program logistics including applications, participants, onboarding, vendor relationships, and onsite operationsImproving and automating operational processes and maintaining internal documentationSupporting outreach efforts and coordinate with researchers, program participants, and other stakeholdersQualifications1–2 years of experience in an operations, coordination, or admin role (internships and academic experience welcome)Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple priorities at onceExcellent written and verbal communicationComfortable working with tools like Google Workspace, Notion, Airtable; comfort using AI assistants like Claude for drafting and workflowsProactive and comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast-moving environmentComfort working with distributed teams and working remotelyBeing based in/willing to relocate to Berkeley, CA or London, UK is strongly preferred.
