Supervisor, Field Service

Your role will directly shape customer satisfaction through quality craftsmanship and robust team performance.How You'll Make an ImpactGuide and support field teams to deliver responsive installation and troubleshooting that meetsSpectrum's quality and safety standardsConduct quality control checks and field safety observations, providing feedback to ensure technical competency and safe practicesResolve escalated customer issues and proactively prevent future concerns through operational excellenceMentor employees with ongoing communication and practical evaluations, fostering professional growth and adherence to standardsCoordinate team training, reinforcing technical quality assurance and ensuring your team are well-equipped for every taskFacilitate cross-departmental collaboration, maintaining accurate records and upholding company policies and proceduresWorking ConditionsWork indoors and outdoors in varying environments and weather conditions, including confined spaces and heightsExposure to dust, dirt, noise, insects, rodents, pets and cleaning solutionsTasks may require travel, overtime, weekend or second shift work as neededWork in an office environment and in the fieldWhat You'll Bring to SpectrumRequired QualificationsEducation* Associate degree in electronics, related field or equivalent* Industry and vendor-specific certifications and training such as NCTI, SCTE, BCT/EExperience5+ years of field technician work experienceSupervisory experience in a technical environment or equivalentExperience with complex cabling jobs including Cat5/Cat6 installation, interior and exteriorExperience programming and installing routers, internet gateway services, layer 2/3 ethernet switches and wireless access points in commercial settingsSkillsEffective written and verbal communication with employees, customers and suppliersAdvanced understanding of TCP/IP stack and abstraction layersAdvanced knowledge of network designs, architectures and topologiesBasic knowledge using software tools to support operationsKnowledge in basic network devices and appliancesProficient with personal computer and Microsoft Office applicationsOperate signal level meters, ohm meters and other test equipmentUse handheld communication devices and applicationsAbility to use weight-bearing equipment safely within equipment limitationsClimb up to 32 feet and lift up to 90 lbs. using safety equipmentWork with small components and differentiate between sizes and colorsOtherValid driver's license with satisfactory driving record per Spectrum standardsPreferred QualificationsExperience* 1+ years of supervisory or leadership experienceSkills* Moderate knowledge of residential and commercial facility construction design/layout* Basic knowledge of Spectrum / telecommunications products and services#LI-CJ1TCB401 2026-73812 2026Here, our employees don't just have jobs, they're building careers. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
