Position Summary: Responsible for daily operations support and maintenance of server and storage systems, providing efficient disaster recovery and day-to-day folder and file restores. Skilled in maintaining and administering virtual servers in VMware and/or Hyper-V environments. Proactively monitors and updates server systems to eliminate vulnerabilities. Responds to Qualys vulnerability scans and collaborates with security teams to mitigate risks. Configures and supports Group Policies to meet departmental standards. Designs and implements server/storage systems to ensure high system integrity. Travel required. Duties and Responsibilities: • Participate in team projects, meetings, and assignments. • Plan, forecast, implement, and identify resource requirements for server and storage systems. • Identify needs for various software systems running in a virtual environment. • Perform capacity and resource planning, risk assessment, and contingency planning. • Research, plan, and implement software service rollouts to users. • Manage users, groups, OUs, objects, GPO, and site services in a multi-domain environment. • Configure and/or manage DNS, DHCP, DFS, and Certificates. • Ensure compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) and technology standards. • Read, understand, and enforce the departmental procedures and policies. • Document technology solutions, server configurations, and insights from monitoring and management tools. • Ensure accurate incident tracking and asset management through service desk ticketing and department inventory control systems. • Mentor junior staff in all areas of systems administration. • Travel to remote locations to provide support, as needed. • Participate in work outside normal hours, including on-call rotation. Serve as escalation point possibly outside normal hours. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Ability to lift to 50 pounds. • Report to work in office 5 days a week. Experience: At least 7 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/server environments in infrastructure/server environments, including operations, support, maintenance, and administration. At least 3 years enterprise experience. Experience with vSphere is highly desired. Preferred Certifications: • Azure Fundamentals • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) • Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ Note: As a member of the technology team, they need the ability to be contacted to respond to requests /incidents. The vendor is required to provide the contractor with a smartphone with data service that complies with FDOT agency security requirements. Smartphones must be able to receive security updates from the manufacturer or carrier and maintained throughout the contractor's tenure at the agency. The contractor will utilize mobile applications such as Outlook, Teams & ServiceNow, which should also be kept up to date through the platform application store.
