Activities Assistant

*Job Summary* As an Activity Assistant at Heritage Assisted Living, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by organizing and facilitating engaging activities and events. *Responsibilities* - Plan, organize, and lead recreational activities for residents in long-term care - Assist in event planning and coordination of social gatherings - Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to promote participation in activities - Provide support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed - Offer companionship and emotional support to residents - Assist with memory care activities for residents with cognitive impairments *Requirements* - Experience or interest in working with aging populations - Knowledge of aging issues counseling and memory care practices - Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff - Familiarity with home community care practices is a plus - Background in social work or related field is beneficial Job Type: Part-time Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour Expected hours: 4 – 5 per week Benefits: Flexible schedule Paid time off Schedule: 4 hour shift Ability to Commute: Yorktown, IN 47396 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Yorktown, IN 47396: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
