Senior Structural Engineer (PE Required)About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join a growing engineering team focused on heavy industrial and material handling projects. This is a high-impact role where you will lead the design and execution of steel structures supporting conveyor and bulk material handling systems.You’ll take ownership of projects from concept through construction, while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical excellence across the team.Key ResponsibilitiesLead design and analysis of industrial steel structuresPerform structural analysis using STAAD.Pro (or similar tools)Apply AISC steel design standards and relevant codes (ASCE, IBC, ACI)Develop and review structural calculations and drawingsOversee AutoCAD drawing production and design layoutsEstimate steel quantities and project effort for proposalsEnsure quality through QA/QC and engineering standardsMentor junior engineers and provide technical guidanceCollaborate with project teams, clients, and contractorsRequired QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain shortly)Bachelor’s degree in civil / Structural Engineering5+ years of experience in structural design (steel-focused)Hands-on experience with:STAAD.Pro or structural analysis toolsAISC steel design codesIndustrial or plant-based projectsProficiency in AutoCAD and Excel-based calculationsPreferred ExperienceExperience with bulk material handling or conveyor systemsBackground in mining, steel plants, power plants, or EPC environmentsAbility to obtain PE transfer or additional licensure (supported)What We OfferRelocation assistance to Columbus, OHSupport for PE license transfer and professional growthOpportunity to work on complex, large-scale industrial projectsClear path into technical leadershipApply NowIf you’re a structural engineer with strong steel design experience looking to step into a leadership role in industrial projects, we’d love to connect.
