Quality Engineer

This is an opportunity to grow a quality career in a fast-moving defense manufacturing environment with real ownership and visibility across the organization.Primary ResponsibilitiesSupport and maintain the company Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with AS9100DReview and interpret quality requirements from customer drawings, contracts, and purchase orders and provide technical input on quality flowdowns to operations and manufacturingSupport First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation and coordinationInterface with customer quality representatives on quality submittals and non-conformancesSupport internal and external audits including AS9100D surveillance and customer source inspectionsDevelop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and process documentationTrack and manage non-conformances, corrective actions, and preventive actions (CAPA)Support root cause corrective action (RCCA) investigations and effectiveness verificationCollaborate with engineering and manufacturing to ensure quality requirements are understood and implemented on the shop floorWork closely with the Quality Technician to ensure inspection activities are properly documented and traceableRequired Qualifications1+ years of experience in a quality, manufacturing, or technical role — or equivalent education and experienceFamiliarity with quality management systems or quality standardsAbility to read and interpret technical documents and drawingsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsClear written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft OfficePreferred QualificationsAssociate or bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, business, or related fieldFamiliarity with AS9100D quality management requirementsExperience with AS9102 First Article Inspection documentationExperience with CAPA and RCCA processesExperience interfacing with government or defense customer quality representativesExperience in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing environmentsFamiliarity with CMM and 3D scanning inspection methods and how results are interpreted against engineering drawings and GD&T requirementsFamiliarity with lean manufacturing, kaizen, or quality management systems as practiced in precision manufacturing or automotive environments — experience with Japanese manufacturing methodologies or companies operating under these principles is a plusASQ certification (CQE, CQT, or similar) a plusThis is a full-time salaried position with highly competitive compensation based on experience and skills, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career growth.ReLogic Research, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination and harassment.
