Mechanical Equipment Design Engineer | Advanced Manufacturing | Greenfield FacilityAre you a Mechanical Engineer who enjoys taking equipment from concept to reality?We’re seeking a Mechanical Equipment Design Engineer to play a key role in the development and launch of a new, state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing facility. This is a highly hands-on opportunity where you’ll design, develop, integrate, and commission custom production equipment, automated machinery, fixtures, tooling, and electromechanical systems.This is more than a traditional design role—you’ll have the opportunity to see your designs move from the drawing board through fabrication, installation, qualification, commissioning, and production startup.What You’ll DoDesign and develop custom production equipment, automated machinery, fixtures, tooling, and mechanical systemsCreate detailed 3D CAD models, mechanical drawings, and engineering documentationSupport equipment projects from initial concept through fabrication, installation, commissioning, and startupIntegrate hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electromechanical systemsWork closely with controls/automation engineers on PLC-controlled equipmentPartner with equipment vendors, machine builders, fabricators, and contractorsTroubleshoot equipment and support reliability, production optimization, and continuous improvementParticipate in equipment qualification, validation, and production-readiness activitiesHelp establish equipment and manufacturing capabilities for a major facility expansionWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline5+ years of experience designing mechanical equipment, industrial machinery, automation, or manufacturing systemsStrong 3D CAD and mechanical drawing experienceHands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumaticsAbility to interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and equipment schematicsExperience taking equipment from design through installation and startupStrong problem-solving and project execution skillsPreferred BackgroundExperience with automated assembly, robotics, electromechanical systems, PLC-controlled equipment, machine builders, equipment qualification, or new plant/startup environments is highly valued.Experience in aerospace, defense, energetic materials, highly regulated manufacturing, or other safety-critical environments is a plus.Why This Opportunity?You’ll be joining a major manufacturing expansion where engineering will directly influence the equipment, processes, and production capabilities of a new facility from the ground up.If you’re looking for an opportunity where you can design it, build it, install it, start it up, and see it operate in production, this could be an excellent next step.Interested?
