Manufacturing Chemist I $27.50–$34.50/hr Onsite: San Diego, CA 1 year assignment We are seeking a motivated, team-oriented Manufacturing Chemist I to support organic synthesis and nucleotide manufacturing. This entry-level role focuses on producing, purifying, and testing complex compounds while following established protocols and quality standards. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform organic synthesis using established methodsConduct HPLC purification and analysis (setup, execution, data review)Follow SOPs, work instructions, and GMP standardsExecute daily lab activities with minimal supervisionAnalyze data to support process decisionsMaintain inventory and complete ERP transactionsEnsure compliance with safety and regulatory requirementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, QA, Engineering)Support 5S/6S initiatives and continuous improvement efforts Qualifications0–2 years of experience in synthetic chemistry or related fieldHands-on experience with HPLC and standard lab equipmentKnowledge of chromatography techniques (anion exchange, reverse phase)Familiarity with GMP and good documentation practicesExperience with systems such as SAP or other ERP/MES (preferred)Strong attention to detail and communication skillsBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field Key Skills HPLC (Agilent OpenLab), GE AKTA, chromatography, synthetic organic chemistry, inventory management, lab safety, rotary evaporation, SOP compliance, 5S/6S Benefits:(employee contribution) Health insurance Health savings account Dental insurance Vision insurance Flexible spending accounts Life insurance Retirement plan We also consider qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with legal requirements.
