Movement Systems is a global industry leader for sophisticated conveyor and processing belts, plastic modular belts, top-quality power transmission belts, as well as timing and flat belts made of synthetic materials. These products are known under the brand name Siegling. They are used in a wide range of applications in industry, trade, and the service sector, including conveyor and processing belts in the food industry, treadmill belts in fitness studios, and flat belts in mail distribution centers.
The Operations Controller will be the business partner to Productions and Logistics for providing analytical support, cost control and analysis, and KPIs to ensure efficiency and profitability under minimal supervision.
Operations Controller
Prepare standard cost calculation and management. Maintain standard cost of materials in the SAP system according to the standard cost guideline. Responsible for annual standard cost updates.
Reports variances to standards that supervisors and managers can understand and take corrective actions. Review all production variances on weekly/monthly basis as well as participating in the proactive measures to reduce variances.
Support Operations team to drive productivity and cost saving initiatives.
Monitor material movements errors and follow up on solutions. Analyze and reconcile inventory transactions for accuracy and completeness in supportive of monthly financial reporting
Responsible for physical inventory and cycle count process to ensure proper financial adjustments and coverage during the year.
Product lines profitability analysis.
Responsible for month end Controlling closing tasks
Maintain assigned internal control tasks and on time completion monthly.
Assist in Budgeting process.
Support outside Auditing firm during annual audit
Special Projects: Support and document process improvement projects, perform other duties as assigned.
4-year college degree with an emphasis in accounting or Finance. Good working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
CMA/CPA preferred not required
5 to 8 years financial / managerial experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
SAP experience required
High competency in Microsoft Excel, specifically the ability to build analytical models when required.
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with the experience needed to credibly represent values and quality commitment.
Detail oriented with excellent follow up skills
Must have a high level of moral and ethical codes
Well organized, Results oriented
Ability to multitask and work in a dynamic fast paced environment with tight deadlines
